Using a Browser Plugin for IAM Identity Center

You can configure the connector to use a browser plugin to authenticate your connection through the IAM Identity Center.

To configure IAM authentication using a browser plugin for IAM Identity Center :

  1. To access the IAM authentication options, open the ODBC Data Source Administrator where you created the DSN, select the DSN, and then click Configure.
  2. From the Auth Type drop-down list, select Browser Idc Auth Plugin.
  3. Optionally, in the AuthProfile field, type the authentication profile you want to use to manage the connection settings, then do the following:
    1. In the AccessKeyID field, type your Redshift access key ID.
    2. In the SecretAccessKey field, type your Redshift secret key.
  4. In the IdC Region field, type the AWS Region where the AWS IAM Identity Center instance is located.
  5. In the Listen Port field, type the port that the Redshift driver uses to receive the auth_code response from AWS IAM Identity Center through the browser redirect.
  6. In the Issuer URL field, type the AWS IAM Identity Center server's instance endpoint. You can find this value using the AWS IAM Identity Center console.
  7. In the IdC Client Display Name field, type the name that the AWS IAM Identity Center client uses for the application in the AWS IAM Identity Center's single sign-on consent popup.
  8. In the Timeout (sec) field, type the amount of time, in seconds, that the connector waits for the auth flow to complete.
  9. To save your settings and close the dialog box, click OK.
