Security and Authentication
To protect data from unauthorized access, DynamoDB databases on AWS require all connections to be authenticated using an access key and a secret key. The Simba DynamoDB JDBC Driver supports the authentication protocols used in DynamoDB. The connector provides mechanisms that allow you to authenticate your connection using your access keys (access key and secret key) or a file that contains multiple sets of keys. For detailed configuration instructions, see Configuring Authentication.
Note:
Authentication is not supported for DynamoDB Local. For information about how access keys are used in connections to DynamoDB Local, see "DynamoDB Local for Desktop Development" in the AWS Official Blog: https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/aws/dynamodb-local-for-desktop-development.
