Configuring a Proxy Connection
If you are connecting to the data source through a proxy server, you must provide connection information for the proxy server.
To configure a proxy server connection:
- To access proxy server options, open the ODBC Data Source Administrator where you created the DSN, then select the DSN, then click Configure, and then click Proxy Options.
- Select the Use Proxy Server check box.
- In the Proxy Host field, type the host name or IP address of the proxy server.
- In the Proxy Port field, type the number of the TCP port that the proxy server uses to listen for client connections.
- In the Proxy Username field, type your user name for accessing the proxy server.
- In the Proxy Password field, type the password corresponding to the user name.
- To save your settings and close the Proxy Options dialog box, click OK.
