Linux System Requirements

The Simba MySQL ODBC Driver supports MySQL versions 5.7 and 8.0.

Install the connector on client machines where the application is installed. Each client machine that you install the connector on must meet the following minimum system requirements:

  • One of the following distributions:
    • Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® (RHEL) 7 or 8
    • CentOS 7 or 8
    • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) 12 or 15
    • Ubuntu 16.04 or 18.04
  • 90MB of available disk space
  • One of the following ODBC driver managers installed:
    • iODBC 3.52.9 or later
    • unixODBC 2.2.14 or later

To install the connector, you must have root access on the machine.

Important:

To connect to MySQL, the connector requires a MySQL account that has access to the MySQL API, and a developer token from a manager account (MCC). For information about configuring your account and obtaining a developer token, see "Sign Up" in the MySQL API documentation: https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/signup.
