Connector Configuration Options

Connector Configuration Options lists the configuration options available in the Simba Google Ads ODBC Connector alphabetically by key name.

Most of these options can be specified in a DSN or in a connection string, and apply only to the specific connection for which they are set. If the same option is configured in both the DSN and the connection string, then the setting in the connection string takes precedence.

The configuration options that control the Logging, Memory Manager, and Swap File Encryption features are connector-wide configuration options. On Windows, these options are specified in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Simba\Simba GoogleAds ODBC Driver\Driver registry key instead of the DSN or connection string.

On Linux or macOS, connector-wide options are specified in one of the following files instead of the DSN or connection string:

  • If the connector is using the RDFODBC dependency, then connector-wide configuration options are set in the rdf.rdfodbc.ini file. The configuration options in this file are applied to all connectors that also use the RDFODBC dependency.
  • Otherwise, connector-wide configuration options are set in the simba.googleadsodbc.ini file. The configuration options in this file are applied to all connections that use the connector.
