Vizlib Finance Report Properties - Appearance

The Appearance section holds settings controlling the look and feel of your finance report. You can modify the style of individual sheet items and apply overall settings such as header or row fonts, background color, column width and enabling scrollbars.

General

In the General tab (Figure 1) you can choose to show or hide a Title and Subtitle, add a Footnote and enable Show details to view report details (e.g. measures, dimensions and descriptions). You can also enable Can take snapshot, and Show maximize icon.

Note: Snapshots have been part of the Hover Menu since the Qlik Sense September 2020 release, and the feature no longer controlled using the property panel.

Alternate States

Alternate States permits you to assign Vizlib Container Box to an alternate selection state (Figure 2). You can find more information about working with alternate states here.

Header Fonts

With Header Fonts settings (Figure 3) you can set the Header Font Size, the Header Font Family and choose the Horizontal alignment and Vertical alignment for the header text to help position it if the report is re-sized.

Row Fonts

Row Font settings (Figure 4) allow you to set the Row Font Size, Adjust vertical padding (where you can select a fixed or custom Mode and a Row Height from XS, S, M, L) and choose a Rows Font Family.

Appearance

Appearance settings are used to customize the look and feel of a finance report.

You can set the Default background to stripes or fixed (Figure 5), choose the Background color for the whole report, set an Odd row color, Even rows color, and Stripes font color (Stripes settings only). You can set Expanded Background to Fixed and set colors for Expanded row and Expanded alternative row. If you choose Striped settings, you have expanded and alternative row color settings for odd and even rows. You can also choose a Link Color.

You can choose a Header color input (Expression or Color picker) to choose a Header color and Header text color, choose where to Display measures... in relation to column dimensions (Above or Below), and use Hide headers to display and position headers (Figure 6).

To configure your dimensions display, you can enable Show dimensions label (if enabled, the label will display even if there are no alternative dimensions available), choose to Use first dimension as title, enter Dimensions dropdown label and use Breadcrumbs as title to show the dimension names as the title for the first column as the table expands.

You can also Use browser scrollbars (horizontal and vertical) and set the Scrolls width, enable Hide row hover to deactivate hover animation, set the Hover color and Hover text color, and add a Top dimension separator (Figure 7).

Column settings include setting a Min Column Width, choosing a Dimension column width from Default, Fixed or Relative (% of total width), and enabling Adjust headers width by Data or Text and choose to Wrap headers text (Figure 8). You can also enter a symbol or expression to replace the default null symbol (e.g. a number or a string) by entering the te.

Context Menu

The Context menu settings (Figure 9) allow you to hide options for the context menu used in analysis mode. All options are displayed by default, but you can choose to Hide expand all, Hide collapse all, Hide expand level, Hide collapse level, and Hide show all comments.

Horizontal Virtualization

Without the Horizontal Virtualization feature, the software loads the entire Finance Report table and all of the table columns display at the same time. This may slow down the user interface responsiveness.

The feature improves the software performance when displaying Finance Report with high number of columns. With Horizontal Virtualization, the software simultaneously loads only the columns that are visible on the screen, instead of all the columns in the report.

With the Horizontal virtualization mode, you can choose between fixed number of columns and fixed column width.

You can find the Horizontal Virtualization checkbox in the Property Panel > Settings section.
