Tile Components Glossary
Vizlib Tiles objects can be broken down into Components, each of them with a specific meaning.
We've put together a Glossary to help you understand what terms like layer and margin mean within the context of a tile visualization, and included an example tile format to point out where the components are located (Figure 1). Just cross-reference the numbers in the example with the glossary table.

Background |
The entire object background, can be a plain color, a gradient or an image. |

Tile |
The tile is repeated once per unique dimension value. |

Layer |
Any number of layers can be placed on a tile, choose from Text, Image, Line, Icon or Icon Bar. |

Tile Border |
The border around the tile can be activated for each side and color, width and corner radius. |

Tile Margin |
If shadows are used, each tile can have a margin (equal on all sides) placed round it. |

Tile Shadow |
Shadows are placed around each tile, with settings for color, blurring, offset, and spread. |

Vertical Divider |
A vertical divider is found between each tile, and can have different opacity, color and size. |

Vertical Line |
A vertical divider line is placed inside the divider and can be dashed, dotted or solid. |

Horizontal Divider |
A horizontal divider is found between each tile, and can have different opacity, color and size. |

A horizontal divider line is placed inside the divider and can be dashed, dotted or solid. |
