Vizlib Sheet Menu Plus Changelog

The Edit title option in the Top Bar Button has been changed to Edit/Duplicate option. [1]

The Duplicate Visibility switch has been added to the Top Bar Buttons section and has the following logic:

• When set to Auto - the Duplicate button is displayed for users with write permissions when the sheet isn't published and the Edit button is displayed for users with write permissions when the sheet is published. [2]
• When set to Custom - Duplicate button visibility depends on the Duplicate Enabled checkbox. When the checkbox is enabled, the users with write permissions see the Duplicate button on published sheets.

insightsoftware has introduced new navigation to Sheet Menu Plus on Qlik Cloud/Saas. There's a New platform navigation tab in the Properties Panel. Path: Properties Panel > Top Bar Buttons > New Navigation. In this section, you can show or hide the button for handling new navigation dropdown. In the new navigation, the Go to Hub option has been removed. Instead, you can navigate to the Hub by going to the navigation panel on the left side > Analystics > Home.

The confirmation panel was displayed twice for the Filter item.

When you added the Filter item to the side menu, the item had a white background. Currently, it has the same color as the side menu.

When the new platform navigation in Qlik Cloud was enabled, the navigation on the left side menu was inactive.

After the Qlik Cloud update, the Side Menu covered the Assets panel. Also, there was a white space visible near the Side Menu.

When you selected the App Overview option from the hamburger menu, the application view did not display. The application view displayed as expected only after a manual refresh.

The Bookmarks button did not work in Sheet Menu Plus after the Qlik Cloud update.

The items from the hamburger fly-out menu did not highlight when you hovered over them.

The image used in the sheet title was not visible.

When converting Sheet Menu to Sheet Menu Plus, the side menu and top menu items were not displayed.

The title in the banner disappeared in Sheet Menu Plus.

The sheet tile and navigation buttons were not displayed in the UI after the Vizlib Sheet Menu Plus loaded successfully.

Error Code -2 with apps using this extension and navigating between sheetsWhen you open the App or move to a different sheet, an -2 error code appeared.

Filters from the side menu disappear. When you use a master item in the Vizlib Sheet Menu Plus, it loads very slowly or not load at all for larger applications. While this issue is resolved, we recommended users to use Vizlib Sheet Menu Plus - v1.10.0 with native components.

Adding native visualizations to the Vizlib Sheet Menu Plus. You can now add KPIs, filters, and buttons to the Sheet Menu Plus’s Side menu. These fields load quickly provide users with more features to accelerate the Qlik environment.

Exit action is not working. Exit actions now work as per the action specified. Please remember to update the exit actions based on the sheet you are leaving from, not entering.

Fixed Side Menu overlaps permanently, preventing access to Extension on Sheet. The Side menu, when fixed, will no longer overlay any other extensions/sheet content.

Top menu selected sheet is not always highlightedIf you use more than one Vizlib sheet menu plus object on a page, there's a possibility that the menu item won't appear as selected when you click to change sheets, which include various sheet menu plus objects.

Property panel improvements. We have improved the overall functionality of the Property Panel and neatened some frequently used areas.

Sheet Menu Plus - Side Bar Text object - possibility for line break.

You can now use HTML in the side menu to assist in easily providing insights though Qlik Sense and Cloud.

By using simple or advanced HTML and CSS styling, you can create an out of this world side menu which is quicker performing and easier to manage than many layers.

Ability to Show/Hide "Ask Insight Advisor". Found in both the Top Bar Buttons and Selection Menu Buttons, the option Insights has been updated and added respectively.

Unnecessary space when using Sheet Menu Plus in Qlik Nov2023. Removed the additional space at the top of the Qlik sheet in Nov2023 environments.

Hide Selection panel menu not working as expected. Selection bar aesthetic inconsistencies when hiding the bar in the property panel.

The colors in the selection menu bar do not work. In the latest version of Qlik (Nov2023) the styling changes on the selection menu resulted in the class identifiers not respecting the correct colors set in the property panel.

Show/hide Condition fulfilled but Side Menu fails to load filter. When a master item is set to hidden using the show/hide condition, the master item fails to show although the variable has met the requirements. (The master item would show once a refresh happens to the sheet).

Open hub button missing in the navigation menu. We have readded the button which was missing. Please ensure you've upgraded to the latest version of the Sheet menu plus.

Add action and icon picker to Top Bar Text. With this new feature it is now possible to add both an icon to the text and connect a Vizlib Action to the top bar text. Here is where you find the new settings:

Side menu auto close option. When the side menu is set to auto close it is now possible to decide how it should behave when navigating to a different sheet.

Show: Current behavior

Collapse: Closes the side menu when navigating to a different sheet.

Top menu flicker/blink when navigating between sheets. When navigating between sheets the sheet menu would flicker as the page reloads. Briefly showing the native menu before the Sheet Menu is loaded. This behavior has now been improved.

VIzlib Sheet Menu Plus - Menu Option doesn't open on Qlik Saas. The Qlik menu didn't open in Qlik Cloud applications.

Sheet Selection Menu styling

With this latest release, you can change the Qlik Selection Menu using the Vizlib Sheet Menu Plus on both Qlik Sense Enterprise and Qlik Sense Cloud.

• By going to Appearance > Selection Menu, we present you with a number of options to allow you to change the appearance of:

We have done this to ensure you can create a dashboard with outstanding customisation options to get that Mashup aesthetic within your Qlik Environments.

Note: If you are using Qlik Themes, then you may encounter colors being overridden by the properties from the Sheet Menu Plus.

Sheet Actions missing Before/After option

To ensure consistency between the Sheet Menu and Sheet Menu Plus, we have added a missing feature, the Before/After Action.

Nested URL iFrame link opens as a new page

When using the Open URL option in the Vizlib Sheet Menu Plus and using the extension within an iFrame in a mashup, the option “Open in the same window” doesn’t open the URL in the same browser window but instead opens it in the iFrame.

This has been resolved to open URLs within the browser window, not the iFrame.

"Edit/Duplicate" button will not disappear when publishing an application. In the QMC, if you removed the possibility to Duplicate Sheets in Qlik’s setting. The Sheet Menu Plus would still display the Edit button, even though nothing actually being displayed.

Property panel amendments. We have made a change to the property panel for the Sheet Menu Plus that makes it more user friendly.

Selecting Destination Sheet enforces Sheet Name rather than given Name.

We have made an update to the product when you have a title expression. Below is the logic: If Title Expression = True (populated),

then display 'Title Expression' name in SM(+) top menu

If Title Expression = False (unpopulated),

then display the SM+ ‘Name’ (Fig 1) from the SM+ Property Panel for that specific menu item

[Cloud] On every sheet navigation the top bar has an interrupted display for a second. On every sheet navigation, there is a flicker in the top bar.

Doesn't work on small screen devices. When you try to preview the Qlik Sense app on a mobile device that has a small screen, many options of the Sheet Menu Plus are missing.

Selections hidden behind top menu. The selections menu was appearing over the confirm selection cross [ x ] and tick [ ✓ ] of an extension which was positioned at the top of your Qlik sheet.

On sheet change using the side menu, the top bar has an interrupted display. On Qlik Cloud, 'Ask insight' search was appearing when you had your Side Menu on the right and used this to change Qlik sheets within the same App.

Top Menu navigation wasn't registering mouse clicks. There was an issue where the top menu items were not being represented correctly or not being displayed. This has been resolved in this release.
