Comments and Threading
Threads help you organise your comments and discussions in Vizlib Teamwork. They let you ask questions, add context or give feedback on a specific message, all without disrupting a conversation's flow. A thread remains connected to its original message.
Note: V3.0.0 - The re-design of Vizlib Teamwork for V3.0.0 and above has updated features for adding and threading comments, you can find out more here.
This topic contains the following sections:
Adding Comments
There's a text area in the Vizlib Teamwork screen where you can add text, emojis and gifs, and also share your comment via email or Slack. If you click inside the text area, you'll display some more features:
-
Click
to add an inline image, which you choose from the sheet.
-
Click
to add a private note - they appear in the stream but are only visible to yourself.
-
Click
to add a selection, which you select from the sheet.
Note: If you use any of these features, the icon will darken to show it's been attached.
Figure 1 shows a comment being added, with an inline image attached.

Tips for Using Threads
-
Avoid hiding information in threads - A thread's discussion won't appear in a channel's main view unless you share your reply with the channel. If other members would benefit from seeing your message, share it in the channel rather than a thread.
-
Use threads for detailed responses - For detailed responses, try to use threads to avoid disrupting the readability of the channel.
-
Is my response relevant to everyone? - If your response is not meaningful to everyone reading the channel, then perhaps a threaded reply is most suited.
