  • The legend title is not centered. There was a problem for some users where they would experience their legend text being uncentred. (LIB-12402)
  • Full screen icon can't be disabled. You can now hide the Full screen icon using the BAr Chart's property panel. (LIB-11146)
  • Show only top condition missing after update. When upgrading from v3 to v4, the option in the 'Data downloading' would be different. We have ensured that this is fixed and remembers your options correctly. (LIB-12581)
  • Y-Axis disappeared after update.When you have a small-height Bar Chart on the page, upgrading from v3 to v4 would result in the Y-Axis disappearing. We have added an option to 'Force show axis'. (LIB-12582)
  • Defined color for a master item dimension changed after update. Following consistency with Qlik Sense. The Vizlib Bar Chart prioritises master colors in the same way as Qlik. (LIB-12584)
  • Tooltip font faded and not clearly visible. There were some inconsistencies with the tooltip color which we have resolved and improved the clarity and readability of the Tooltip. (LIB-12586)

    We have added an option to change the scrollbar for the Vizlib Bar Chart found in Appearance > Presentation > Scrollbar type. We now have the following options:

    Mini chart

    Presents a mini-cart scrollbar which can be interacted with by scrolling and resizing.

    Advanced

    You can interact by scrolling and resizing.

    Basic

    You can only interact by scrolling (This is a fixed with determined by the number of bars you want to show by the 'Set Threshold Limit' property).

Resolved Issues

  • Bar Chart doesn't render at random in Story export. Some users were encountering moments when the Vizlib Bar Chart would not render on a Qlik Story export. (LIB-11962)
  • Overlap type presentation disappears when enabling Data values for measure. When setting the Data Values to show, the Overlap type presentation in Appearance, it is not available. On setting this to Hide, the Overlap type reappears.

    As a result of this, we have improved the description of the field.

  • Extreme spacing applied to multi-line representation of labels on the X-axis.The multi-line label overlaps with one another which resulted in a large spacing requires more space on the dashboard. This has been resolved so you don't need as much space. (LIB-12271)
  • Setting the format for positive values doesn't work. Formatting values, i.e. '-#,##0.0%', didn't work. (LIB-12270)

  • Not displaying bars in Qlik Container. Bar from the Vizlib Bar Chart were not being displayed In the Qlik Container; but the bar chart is working with the Vizlib Container Grid. (LIB-12005)
  • Null values are interpreted in a wrong way. Null values were being displayed as a numeric value. (LIB-11992)
  • Alternative Dimensions causes the UI to respond unusually. Using the Alt. Dimensions on the bar chart would result in the UI breaking and displaying bars and bar values in an obstructive way. (LIB-11961)
  • The first dimension label on x-axis showing only ellipsis. Dimension values that are at the start of your bar chart would be ellipsed ( ... ) instead of presenting the value name. Here we have implemented a new property called Axis Padding. Similar to how it behaved in the line chart, this will add padding to the Y or X-Axis depending on your setup. (LIB-11946)
  • Percentage type Number format representation is incorrect when enabling 100% stacked Bars Whether you are using the context menu or property panel to change the bar chart to be 100% stacked, the number separators would not respect your defined separator. (LIB-11921)

Resolved Issues

  • With this release we have made very big changes "behind the scenes" of the Bar Char object. The code has been updated to Angular, simplified and restructured. Apart from allowing us to fix many of the smaller bugs and issues the changes will also allow us to quicker make adjustments and changes in future versions. The performance should also be quite a bit better although we still expect to be able to improve that even further. The extension should load faster and it will more be noticeable on slower networks and in Qlik SaaS. The responsiveness is also improved.

    With the bigger changes we have made very significant efforts in testing to make sure the changes stay on the back-end and are not visible to the users. However, please do (as always but perhaps a bit more carefully this time) test the extension before release on critical/sensitive environments. Some minor visual changes are also expected. See the list of items below for details.

    Fixed items:

    • Data values - all options are supported now correctly

    • The mini chart is respecting the position and window in a better way

    • Persistent colors (including dynamic colors) now work in all cases

    • Selection with a mini chart correctly presents the selected items better

    • All data symbols are working correctly & present a value in the correct position

    • Alternative dimensions are possible in multi-measure mode

    • Reference line fixes (visibility and position)

       

      Minor changes

    • Default formatting (auto measure, auto format) is now common with the other Vizlib extensions Suppress zero value is respected in all cases.

    • The labels are positioned slightly differently The legend order & position.

  • Random occurrence of not rendering in customer app. Quickly moving between sheets would "freeze" the extension. This no longer occurs. (LIB-10307)
  • Export to pdf doesn't work properly for stacked bar chart. Stacked exports did not work as expected. (LIB-10976)
  • Performance issue. Load time in certain situations was unacceptable long. In the customer example the load was 10 times faster with this new version of the extension. (LIB-11144)
  • Tooltip is not displayed when custom color is enabled. When the measure had a custom color the tooltip did not display. (LIB-11379)
  • Scroll Preview recalculates every time you switch between sheets. The preview scroll bar recalculated when switching between sheets even if nothing had happened to warrant a refresh of the extension. (LIB-11578)
  • Incorrect display when having second dimension with symbol representation and Axis range changed When having the axis range set to min. They symbol would appear in the wrong place. (LIB-11619)
  • Alternative Measure titles are not displayed when having multiple dimensions.

    When using multiple dimensions the alternative measures were not available.

    Note: Please note that when upgrading from a lower version to version 4+ that the character number for the Bar Chart axis is set to 15 characters.
